Granite is both an ancient and incredibly durable natural stone. To say that it is ancient is a misnomer, as most natural stone could be regarded as ancient. However, granite has been in use by man when it comes to various applications for tens of thousands of years. It has been hewn from quarries by stone masons for centuries. So when you re cleaning your granite counter top, you can use some warm soapy water and simply dry it off with a cloth. Neutral cleaning agents are also adequate for granite floors or worktops. You should avoid the use of acidic cleaners such as bleaches or abrasive materials when wiping your granite features. Waxes and numerous sprays should also be avoided.
